Tim Hughes wrote this song in 1999 as a response to how he felt after reading Philippians 2. The passage speaks about Christ's humility and how He willingly left His throne in heaven, came to earth as a man, and sacrificed Himself on the cross all because of His love for us. With this passage in mind, Tim picked up his guitar and, as he sang, the words to the song flowed out, but he was not satisfied with the chorus and felt that it did not flow well with the song. For several months, he struggled with the chorus and even put the song aside for about six months before finally finishing the song.[3] However, he was still not confident in the chorus. It was not until he played this song at his home church Soul Survivor, and his pastor told him to play the song more often, that he realized the potential the song had. Since then, this song has spread and become widely known. Tim Hughes himself said. "No one has been more surprised than myself at seeing how God has used this worship song."[4] The themes in the song are Life of Jesus, Thankfulness, and Worship.[5]

'Let It Be known'을 따라 부르면서 노래와 춤을 담은 비디오를 보내달라고 합니다.

He was raised in a non-religious family, but converted to evangelical Christianity in May 1963. He had previously been the keyboard player in the band The Paramours.
Some have attributed the formation of the band The Righteous Brothers to Wimber (then known as Johnny Wimber) since he was the one who brought Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley together for the band The Paramours in 1962. In the following years he attended a Quaker church in Yorba Linda, California. During this time, he led hundreds of others to convert to Christianity. By 1970, he was leading 11 different Bible study groups that involved more than 500 people.[3]
In 1974 he became the Founding Director of the Department of Church Growth at the Charles E. Fuller Institute of Evangelism and Church Growth, which was founded by the Fuller Theological Seminary and the Fuller Evangelistic Association. He directed the department until 1978. In this time a House Church began to form in his home. This group began to embrace some of the beliefs of the Charismatic movement. This resulted in a split with the Quaker church that this group belonged to.
Wimber pastored this new church, which would later become known as the Anaheim Vineyard Christian Fellowship, from 1977 to 1994. Eventually, it outgrew his home and began to meet elsewhere. After initially joining Calvary Chapel, the church had some differences with the Calvary Chapel leadership, relating mainly to the practice of spiritual gifts, his rejection of traditional Dispensationalism, and his embrace of Kingdom theology. As a result, they left Calvary Chapel to join a small group of churches started by Kenn Gulliksen, known as Vineyard Christian Fellowships, which became an international Vineyard Movement.
The Vineyard Movement is rooted in both historic evangelicalism and the charismatic renewal. Due to this duality, the movement uses the term Empowered Evangelicals (a term coined by Rich Nathan and Ken Wilson in their book of the same name) to reflect their roots in traditional evangelicalism as opposed to classical Pentecostalism. Members also sometimes describe themselves as the "radical middle" between evangelicals and Pentecostals, which is a reference to the book The Quest for the Radical Middle, a historical survey of the Vineyard by Bill Jackson.

퀘이커교도는 인간 속에 "내면의 빛"이 있다고 말합니다.

인간 안에 신성이 있다는 것이지요. 요즘 말로 '신성한 내면아이'라고 말합니다.

성경과는 완전히 반대되는 것이라, 일찍부터 이단이라고 판정되었습니다.

결론은요? 부르지 말아야 합니다!!

요새는 이단이라해도 눈 하나 깜짝 안 하니 참 걱정입니다.

① 예장(합동)신학부에서 발간한 『기독교 정통과 이단, 무엇이 다른가?』(심창섭 편저)에, 82회 총회에서 채택한 빈야드 관련 내용을 보면, 존 윔버는 “1934년 불신자의 가정에서 출생. 아버지가 일찍 사망하여 청소년 시절 재혼한 어머니와 의붓 아버지 슬하에서 보냈다. 1952년 고등학교를 졸업하고 음악을 좋아 함으로 음악전문대학에 진학하여 1954년 졸업후 1960년대 인기를 끌었던 록 음악 그룹인 Righteous Brothers 보컬 그룹을 만들어 라스베가스의 쇼에도 관여하였다.

② 1962년 말 아내와 이혼 직전에 아내와 함께 뜻하지 않은 계기를 통하여 퀘이커 교도들이 인도하던 성경공부에 참여하여 공부하면서 뜻 밖의 개인적인 회심, 체험을 통하여 부부가 함께 기독교 신앙에 열렬하게 헌신하게 되었다. 회심후 음악계를 떠났고 그동안 모은 재산을 모두 자선 단체에 기부하고 공장에서 일하면서 성경공부와 개인 전도 사역에 헌신됐다.

③ 1970년에 퀘이커 교단 소속인 오르바 린다 포랜드(형제교단)교회에서 수사 안수받은 후 1970년에서 1973년 사이에 아주사 퍼시픽 성경대학에 편입하여 신학공부를 하였다.

1974년 풀러신학대학원에 가서 신약학 교수 G. E. Ladd의 하나님의 나라 사상에 깊은 관심을 갖게 되었다. 선교대학원에서 풀러 복음 전도 및 교회성장연구소 설립에 관계하게 되었고 이연구소의 분과 책임자 및(1982) 교회 성장학 조교수로 일하게 되었다.”【미주3】

④ 여기서 윔버는 퀘이커 교단에서 첫 신앙을 가지게 되었는데, 좋아하던 음악계를 떠날 정도의 결단을 내렸고, 모아둔 재산은 자선 단체에 기부할 정도의 열심이었으며, 퀘이커 교단의 수사 안수가지 받았고, 아주사 퍼시픽 성경대학에 편입하여 신학공부를 할정도 였다는 점에 주목해야 한다. 이정도라면 그에게는 퀘이커 사상이 철저히 각인되었다는 점을 주의해 봐야 한다. 말하자면 그의 교회 성장학 이란 퀘이커식 성장방법이라고 봐도 틀림이 없다고 볼수 있을 것이다.

⑤ 예장(합동)신학부에서 발간한 『기독교 정통과 이단, 무엇이 다른가?』(심창섭 편저)에, 82회 총회에서 채택한 빈야드 관련 내용, <존 윔버의 빈야드 운동의 배경과 신학 기초>에서, <퀘이커교의 신령주의적 배경>를 이렇게 설명하고 있다. 즉 “윔버는 퀘이커교도를 통해 기독교에 입문했고 거기서 목사(? -수사) 안수를 받고(프렌스 교단-퀘이커교회) 퀘이커 교회는 기성교인들이 객관적인 신앙만을 강조하다가 내적인 빛의 사역을 제한하여 성경의 가르침을 떠났다고 주장하여 영국 조지 폭스란 신령주의에 의해 세워졌다.” 고 밝히고 있고, “내적인 빛은 퀘이커의 가장 중요 주제이다.

… 내적인 빛만이 그리스도께 갈수 있는 길이며 성도를 순수하게 이끌어 갈것이라고 생각하여 제도와 형식에 매인 교회를 무시한다. … 성경계시의 객관성과 절대성을 부인하고 환상이나 직관을 통해서 하나님의 직접계시를 받는다는 주체적 체험, 신비적인 것을 신앙의 기초로 삼았다.” 요약했고,

⑥ 이어서 “윔버는 신령주의적 퀘이커교의 사상에 기초하여 ‘분별의 은사’ 들이 지혜의 말씀, 지식의 말씀, 분별의 은사로 구성되었는데 모든 초자연적인 통찰력을 부여해 주는 은사들로 그것들을 통해서 마치 하나님께서 사물을 파악하시듯 이 사물을 파악하게 된다고 하였다. … 이와같이 윔버는 주체적인 직관을 신학의 원리로 삼았는데 이러한 내적인 빛을 체험할수 있는 방법으로 영감, 꿈, 환상, 성경구절이 있다고 했다.(능력치유 pp.322)

윔버에게는 내적인 인상이나 투시는 최고 판단 기준이 되고 있다. 퀘이커의 직관이나 윔버의 투시 현상은 기독교의 판단의(기준이) 될 수 없다.” 지적했고,

⑦ “그는 성경대로 병든자를 위하여 기도하다가 실패하고 오랄 로버츠의 오순절 모델, 성공회와 로마 천주교의 성례전 모델, 치유훈련을 강조하는 산 오순절 모델, 마귀 축출 방법, 상처와 원한의 치유에 관심을 두는 심령적 영적 모델, 내적치유 모델을 참고하여 치유신학을 발전 시켰다고 한다.(능력치유 pp.309-311) 이러한 모델로 배운 바를 빈야드 기독교회에 적용하였다.(능력치유 p.284)

⑧ 윔버의 치유신학이 성경에서 나온 것이 아니라 인간에게 나온 것으로 성경을 교재로 사용한 것이 아니라 여러 참고서로 사용 발전시킨 인위적 사상이라 할 수 있다.”규정했다.
