릭워렌과 WHITNEY T. KUNIHOLM한국성서유니온선교회(대표:도문갑)는 오는 26~30일 전국 4개 도시를 돌며 목회자를 위한 묵상목회 세미나를 개최한다.
서울(26일 서울영동교회)을 비롯한 대전(27일 대전새로운교회)과 광주(29일 광주신안교회) 부산(30일 부산대청교회) 등 4개 도시에서 열릴 이번 세미나는 휘티니 T 커니홈(미국 SU 대표)을 초청해 E100 성경읽기에 대해 소개한다.
이번 세미나에서 소개될 E100은 성경 66권 중에서 1백개의 핵심 본문을 중심으로 성경전체의 큰 그림을 파악하는 성경읽기 방식으로 여러 나라에서 참여하고 있다. 또한 이번 묵상목회 세미나에서는 한국성서유니온의 묵상목회 프로그램과 지역교회에 정착시킬 수 있는 실제적인 방법이 소개될 예정이다.
특별히 목회자들이 성도들을 말씀으로 양육하기에 유용한 '묵상과 설교'와 교회에서 성도들에게 성경묵상을 훈련할 수 있는 성경묵상 초급 교재도 새롭게 소개될 예정이다.

SU and Rick Warren Partner to Promote Bible Reading

Through its E100 program, Scripture Union partnered with Pastor Rick Warren in the "40 Days in the Word" Bible reading program, sponsored by Saddleback Community Church in California, where Warren is the Senior Pastor.
Starting on January 29, churches across the country joined Warren and the people at Saddleback in "loving, learning and living the Word of God" for 40 days. In the accompanying material, Warren teaches simple Bible study techniques intended to help people learn and apply Scripture in a new and deeper way.
"Too many of God's people don't know God's Word, don't really believe God's Word or don't 'do' God's Word. 40 Days in the Word will transform (them) from 'hearers' to 'doers'", Warren said.
E100 to be Follow-Up
A number of organizations have been invited to provide follow-up material for those completing "40 Days in the Word". Warren invited Scripture Union to provide The Essential 100 (E100) Challenge program for follow-up, and it's anticipated that the E100 will be one of the most popular of such programs.

SU USA President Whitney T. Kuniholm and Rick Warren met recently at a meeting of organizations from around the country committed to helping people read and live by God's Word. It was there that they discussed their common commitment to Bible reading revival and the partnership of the E100 and "40 Days in the Word".
