Peale denied the necessity of believing in the virgin birth, and maintained that Jews, Muslims, and other non-Christians worship the true God, and that a person must do good works to get to heaven. Peale did not believe that Christ was eternal God, and thereby, he rejected the Christian doctrine of sin, did not believe that Jesus Christ's sacrifice atoned for sin, and did not believe in the physical resurrection of Christ. In Peale's writings, God is never presented as Judge, nor even as Savior -- he defined religion as: "... a scientific methodology for thinking your way through problems". To Peale, there was no such thing as true religion or even moralism, only self-esteem, self-help, and self-recovery. Peale's "faith" was not faith in God, but "faith in faith," which means faith in your own capacities as a means in attaining the well- adjusted life.

Schuller reinterprets the doctrines of the Word of God to conform with his self-esteem philosophy. His Christ is a Jesus who provides men with self-esteem. Schuller's gospel is the replacement of negative self concepts with positive ones. To Schuller, sin is merely the lack of self-esteem. To Schuller, the greatest evil is to call men sinners in a Biblical fashion and thereby injure their self-esteem. Schuller is a universalist who believes that all people are the children of God. His goal is to help each person understand and enjoy this "fact." Schuller's message is that there is no need for one to recognize his own personal sin, no need for repentance, and no need for the crucifixion of self. In fact, concerning the latter point, Schuller teaches just the opposite philosophy -- that self is to be exalted -- which is nothing less than an outright denial of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Since Schuller will not preach from the pulpit the gospel of repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ, nor teach from the Bible.
Robert Schuller believes that God placed him on this Earth to preach possibility thinking .
"I believe in positive thinking. It is almost as important as the resurrection of Jesus Christ"
Schuller's "possibility thinking" replaces truth.
For Schuller, then, "faith" is a power of the mind and "God" is merely a placebo that helps one "believe" and thereby activate mind power.

Hinn teaches that when one is born again by faith in Jesus, he is given a new spirit man that wasn't there before -- a spirit man that is divine in nature and God-like.

The phenomenon known as being "slain in the Spirit" is a trademark of modern charismaticism. And while I would not say that God will or cannot come upon someone with such a power, it becomes obvious that, coupled with false teachings, the power transmitted by Hinn is not of God.

A.D. 2000 Evangelism is ecumenical, compromising to the core, and even has some New Agers in its ranks, yet many undiscerning or uninformed professing believers are supporting, praising, and participating in it. This unscriptural evangelism movement includes Roman Catholics, Orthodox, Charismatics, Pentecostals, and Protestants of all kinds.
YWAM's leadership, including both Loren Cunningham and Joy Dawson, have been on the Benny Hinn "This Is Your Day" show in endorsement of his ministry, pledging to work with him. Joy Dawson flew to Hawaii with Hinn for his 2002 crusade, and stood on stage with Hinn promising that YWAM would work with Hinn to evangelize the youth of the islands. Local YWAM leadership in Hawaii is now responsible to implement Hinn's future crusades in Hawaii, and YWAM will be helping Hinn all over the world.
YWAM has been promoting heretical books by Third Wavers like Rick Joyner and Francis Frangepane, publishes books by George Otis, Jr. and C. Peter Wagner, and hands out many others all over the Hawaiian Islands to pastors and church leaders there. YWAM is actively inviting people out of Biblical churches to go to Third Wave churches and events. In Micronesia, YWAM is actively proselytizing people from Evangelical churches to go to the Brownsville type church there, using false spiritual warfare techniques such as binding territorial demons, blowing shofars on mountain tops, getting the Holy Spirit by impartation and "through the mouth," going up to the hills with salt and water to "reconcile men with women in the culture," prayer walking, spiritual mapping, etc.

As early as 1969, Bill Bright said, "We do not attack the Roman Church. We believe God is doing a mighty work in it and will no doubt use millions of Roman Catholics to help evangelize the world". There was also "Explo '72" in Dallas; "Key '73 Evangelism" in which Roman Catholics, Orthodox, ecumenists, evangelicals, and charismatics all participated; and "Explo '74" in South Korea, all organized by Bill Bright. At Billy Graham's Amsterdam '86 conference, Bright said, "There was a day when Protestants and Roman Catholics would not have much to do with one another. But today the Spirit of God is doing such a great working in both the Roman Catholic and Protestant fellowships and communications that I feel much at home wherever Jesus Christ is honored". Bright was questioned about Roman Catholic and Orthodox involvement at the Amsterdam '86 conference. His answer was: "The Holy Spirit of God is doing something unique in most major denominations -- Presbyterian, Baptist, Methodist, Roman Catholic ... In all denominations I think there is a return to New Testament faith".
Campus Crusade also has Roman Catholics on staff.
CCC's International Committee of Reference includes 33 degree Mason Roy Rogers, Johnny Cash, charismatic David Yonggi Cho, New Ager Jay Gary, 33 degree Mason and U.S. Senator Jesse Helms, "Christian" rock singer Michael W. Smith, Pope-praiser Jack Van Impe, and dozens of other like suspects.
Pope John Paul II visited New York on 10/7/95 and said Mass in Central Park. Meeting privately with the pope were Bill Bright, Pat Robertson, and Chuck Colson.
Bright joined hands with Catholic priests, Jewish rabbis, liberal Protestant clergymen, Muslim leaders, and other false gospelers in a "Summit of Faith" in Tallahassee, Florida, on 12/7/00.

Many of Wimber's "signs and wonders" teachings are rooted in Eastern mysticism and mind-science inner healing techniques
Wimber's teachings erred dramatically in three main areas
(1) Dependence on experience rather than Scripture, leading to both a pragmatic and a subjective approach -- "experience first, then mold theology to fit the experience," seemed to be Wimber's motto.
(2) Acceptance of occult/New Age practices in "Christian" forms, such as aura reading and manipulation, the teaching of "inner healing," astral projection, contact with familiar spirits, and psychological and occult methodologies.
(3) A mystical view of spiritual warfare that comes dangerously close to spiritism, culminating in the belief that even Christians can be possessed by demons.
Wimber's approach to healing was not the mere laying on of hands accompanied by fervent prayer, but the incorporation of an unholy mixture of Jungian psychology and Agnes Sanford's "inner healing" techniques, both of which have their roots in the occult, but have become popularized in our day through the New Age Movement.
Wimber consistently maintained an ecumenical spirit toward Roman Catholicism. He frequently appeared on the same platforms with Roman Catholic clergy in ecumenical gatherings, and hosted Catholic "leaders" at his various church growth/healing seminars.
Wimber's doctrine of Demonology was thoroughly unscriptural.
As an example of a practice rejected by the church for centuries, but engaged in by Wimber and the Vineyard movement, is the use of relics . The use of relics of the dead is an utterly pagan concept with no Scriptural justification whatsoever.
Wimber was on Renovare's "Board of Reference" -- Renovare is an international, New Age, ecumenical organization.

Pat Robertson, founder of the 700 Club and Regent University, is an ardent ecumenicist who has long worked and fellowshipped with Romanists. He exemplifies what is happening widely in Evangelical-Charismatic circles today. In fact, the Evangelical-Roman Catholic alliance which is led by men such as Robertson is drawing in pastors who profess to be fundamental Baptists.
In 1994, Robertson signed the "Evangelicals and Catholics Together" statement urging ecumenical unity.
What does Pat Robertson believe concerning the inerrancy and inspiring of God's Word? On 6/1/78, Robertson stated on a 700 Club program:
"Anything coming through man is contaminated to some extent.
Therefore, since the Bible came through man, there must be some errors in it.
So, we must never equate the Bible with the perfect Jesus."
Regeant University (formerly CBN University) was founded by Robertson. Known for its liberal arts and law courses, it also boasts of a psychological counseling department that literally denies the sufficiency of Scripture:
Robertson endorsed Catholic-sympathizer Chuck Colson's 1993 book.
Robertson also had a seat of honor at the Mass during Pope John Paul II's 10/7/95 visit to New York. He also marched at the head of an ecumenical procession to the papal altar and was seated with Protestant, Orthodox, and evangelical leaders .
He said his meeting with the Pontiff was "very warm" and,
through a personal letter hand-delivered to the pope,
pledged to work for Christian unity between evangelicals and Catholics.
Robertson called the pope "a humble and caring servant of the Lord."
He said: "I believe the time has come where he must lay aside minor differences
and focus on the common ground of our faith in the lord Jesus Christ."
Robertson said of the pope: "He's got great humility and spirituality."
Robertson saying: "We all admire the Holy Father tremendously.
We all want to build bridges with the Catholic Church."
Robertson said : "Pope John Paul II stands like a rock against all opposition
in his clear enunciation of the foundational principles of the Christian faith."
The major thrusts of Robertson's books are disturbing to many of those aware of the strategies of the New Age Movement.

The Journal says the Alpha Course is: “massively over-hyped and spiritually deceptive ... with its wholly inadequate view of Christian conversion and experience.”
Chris Hand in his analysis of Alpha concludes the following:
“1. The God of Alpha is not the God of the Bible. ... it does not present us with the God who has revealed Himself in the Bible. ... It simply fails to tell us anything we need to know about God.
2. The plight of man in Alpha is not as serious as in the Bible. ... Alpha does not use strong terms and leaves us rather unclear about where we stand. As one follows its argument, sin is more to be seen in the way we have ‘messed up our lives.’... For all the gravity of sin, Alpha never allows us to feel too bad about ourselves. It never permits us to see ourselves in God’s sight. That is a big omission.
3. The Jesus Christ of Alpha is not the Jesus Christ of the Bible. ... despite having part of the course titled ‘Why did Jesus die?’, it is unable in the final analysis to answer this question. ...
4. The love of God in Alpha is not the love of God of the Bible. ... The God of the Bible is love but it is love that is seen in His willingness to save sinners. ... without the context of God’s holiness and absolute perfection, the meaning of love is lost to us. ...
5. The Holy Spirit of Alpha is not the Holy Spirit of the Bible. ... Alpha’s ‘Spirit’ appears to work in ways that lie outside the confines of Scripture. Whoever it is that people are ‘introduced’ to at the Alpha Weekend, it is not the Holy Spirit. But whoever this mysterious guest is, he is equally at home with the ecstatic gatherings of New Age enthusiasts and non-Christian religions alike.
6. Conversions in Alpha are not like the conversions in the Bible. ... More often than not it is an emotional experience about the love of God but without any understanding of holiness or the need to be saved from our sins. ... For all its efforts, Alpha does not help us to know God. It does not describe the true and living God for us. It does not diagnose man’s condition accurately enough. ... it is unable to supply us with the ‘good news’.”10
Central to the Alpha Course is not the Christian gospel, but the so-called ‘Holy Spirit Weekend’ which is in fact a thinly-disguised opportunity for initiation into the Toronto Blessing experience. Nicky Gumbel, curate at Holy Trinity, Brompton had received the ‘blessing’ from Eleanor Mumford of the South-West London Vineyard following her return from Toronto in May 1994. Subsequent to this event, Toronto-style teaching concerning the reception of the Holy Spirit took centre-stage. An unknown evangelistic tool had thus become a syncretistic mixture of orthodoxy and heresy.
알파 코스란 무엇인가? (Ron Hanko)
알파 코스는 1979년 런던서부 브롬톤(Brompton)에 위치한 홀리 트리니티(Holy Trinity) 교회에서 시작되었다. 알파 코스란 청년들을 포함한 많은 다른 코스들로 구성된 전도적이며 제자 훈련적 도구이다. 가장 기초적인 코스는 12주동안 리더나 비디오에 의해 학습되는 15과의 성경공부로 구성되어 있다. 각 과는 매우 짧으며 격식을 차리지 않은 상태에서 편안하게 진행된다.
이 코스의 한 후원자는 “우리는 기독교 신앙을 배우며 이와 동시에 신나는 즐거움과 재미도 함께 누리는 것이 가능하다고 믿습니다.”라고 말한다. 그들에 의하면 교회는 바로 “연회(party)"를 의미한다.
그러나 이 코스를 즐겁고 재미있게 하기 위해서 기독교의 가장 근본적인 교리는 왜곡되거나 간과되고 있는 것이다.
지난 1997년에 약 50만 명이 이 알파 코스를 수료한 것으로 추산되고 있다. 그러나 단지 소수만이 이 알파코스가 성경적인지 혹은 성경적 진리를 가르치고 있는지에 대해서 질문할 뿐이다. 성경적으로 알파 코스를 검증해보면 이 운동은 성경적 기준에 전혀 미치지 못하며 그것을 추천하기는 커녕 반드시 그것을 경고해야만 하는 종류의 운동이다. 특별히 나나님의 백성들이 왜 알파 코스를 거절하고 배격해야 하는지에 대한 4가지 중대한 이유가 있다.
그것들은 첫째, 종교 통합적 강조점, 둘째, 그것의 은사주의적 기원과 교훈, 셋째, 다른 여러종류의 비성경적인 교리들 그리고 마지막 넷째로 성경에 나타난 여러 핵심적 주제에 대한 명백한 성경적 교훈의 부재이다.
종교통합주의
알파 코스가 종교통합정신에 기초해 있다는 것은 명백한 사실이다. 이 코스의 창시자는 “어떤 의미에서 우리가 어떤 교파에 속해 있는지는 중요하지 않습니다. 우리가 로마 가톨릭주의자이든지 개신교도이든지, 루터주의자이든지, 감리교도이든지, 침례교도이든지, 성고회주의자이든지 가정교회주의자이든지 전혀 중요하지 않습니다. 우리에게 중요한 것은 우리가 하나님의 영을 소유하고 있느냐 아니냐인 것입니다.”라고 말한다.
이러한 종교통합정신은 이 코스에 참석한 인사들에게서도 동일하게 발견되는 현상이다. 그들 중에는 켄터베리 대주교였던 조지 케리(George Cayey), 영향력 있는 개신교 학자인 엘리스터 맥그라스(Alistair McGrath), 복음주의자와 로마 가톨릭 연합문서에 서명한 것으로 악명 높은 제임스 패커(J. I. Packer), 빈야드 운동의 창시자인 존 윔버(John Wimber), 토론토 블레싱과 다른 이단사설들과 관련된 웨스트민스터 교회의 켄달(R. T. Kendal)목사, 침례교 연합회장인 존 제임스(John James), 은사주의운동의 선두주자들인 스티브 초크(Steve Chalke)와 제랄드 코테스(Gerald Coates)등이 있다.
그러므로 한 로마 가톨릭 주교는 “ 이 코스에는 로마 가톨릭 교회의 교리와 위배되는 것이 전혀 없습니다. 아니 오히려 이 코스는 이전에 로마 가톨릭이 전혀 호감을 보이지 않았던 많은 근본 신앙조항들이 매우 훌륭한 형태로 제시되어 있습니다.”라고 말한 것이다.
바로 이러한 것과 조화되어 많은 로마 가톨릭 교회들이 이 코스를 사용하고 있는 것이다. 바로 이것이 성경을 믿는 모든 경건한 그리스도인들이 이 코스를 배격해야 하는 이유이다.
은사주의적 경향
이 종교통합정신과 가장 밀접하게 연결되어 있는 것이 바로 강력한 은사주의에 대한 강조이다. 그들의 주요 관심사는 “내가 어떻게 성령에 충만할 것인가?”이다. 이에 대한 많은 대답 가운데 하나가 바로 “방언의 은사”를 받음으로 그렇게 되 수 있다는 것이다.
알파 코스는 또한 하나님께서 오늘날에도 예언과 꿈과 환상으로 우리에게 말씀하신다고 가르친다. 뿐만 아니라 치유의 은사도 가르치며 몸의 진동과 성령 안에서의 호흡 그리고 몸의 여러 다른 부분에서 경험할 수 있는 뜨거움과 흥분 등을 가르치고 있다. 이렇게 함에 있어서 빈야드 운동의 창시자인 존 윔버의 저서들을 추천하기도 한다. 이 은사주의적 영향은 홀리 트리니티 교회가 “토론토 블레싱”을 장려하는 사실에 기인한다.
성경적 교훈의 결핍
아마도 알파 코스의 가장 심각한 문제점은 성경을 가장 적게 가르친다는 데 있을 것이다. 이것은 바로 로마 천주교의 한 주교가 이 코스에서 로마 천주고와 교리적으로 반대되는 내용을 발견할 수 없었다고 말한 데서도 극명하게 드러난다. 신앙의 가장 중대한 많은 교리들은 모두 간과되거나 아니면 아주 피상적으로만 언급될 뿐이다.
이는 명시된 알파 코스의 목적과도 부합되는 것이다. 예를 들면, 알파코스는 “복음”을 전혀 “위협적이지 않은 방식”으로 제시하며 사람들로 하여금 “진리”를 배우는 동안 재미를 느끼게 하는 것을 목적으로 명시하고 있다.
그러나 만일 복음이 성경에 계시된 그대로 순수하게 전파되기만 한다면, 그것은 그 누구에게도 전혀 재미를 주지 않을 것이다. 또한 건전한 성경적 교훈의 결핍은 진리보다는 감정과 경험을 강조하고 칭송하는 알파 코스의 강력한 은사주의적 강조와 잘 어울린다. 감정과 경험은 알파 코스에서 중대한 위치를 차지하고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 우리를 자유케 하는 것은 감정이 아니라 진리라는 사실을 결코 잊어서는 안될 것이다(요 8:32).
그러므로 믿음으로 말미암은 칭의, 선택, 거룩과 하나님의 정의, 다가오는 심판과 하나님의 진노, 율법, 타락, 회개 그리고 중생과 같은 기독교의 근본적이고도 특정한 교리들에 관한 한, 알파 코스는 거의 침묵하고 있는 것이다. 그러나 가장 심각한 누락은 알파 코스가 하나님 자신에 대해서 거의 가르치지 않고 있다는 것이다. 영생은 유일하신 하나님을 아는 것이라는 성경의 교훈을 알파 코스 어디에서도 찾을 수 없다(요 17:3). 예를 들면 죄를 이해하기 위한 근본적인 진리인 하나님의 정의나 십자가, 구원, 그리고 다가오는 심판은 전혀 언급되지 않고 있다. 가장 유일하게 언급되는 것은 바로 하나님의 사랑이다. 그러나 이것 역시 의식하지 못할 정도로 왜곡되었다. 그러므로 심각한 것은 알파 코스를 다 마친다 해도 성경의 하나님에 대해서는 전적으로 무지할 수 있다는 것이다.
거짓된 교훈
알파 코스가 가르치는 내용은 노골적으로 신자들을 현혹시킨다. 삼위일체가 언급되어 있음에도 거의 모든 교훈이 성부 하나님이나 그리스도가 아닌 성령에 집중되어 있다. 이는 예수님의 요한복음 16장 13-14절을 의도적으로 무시하는 처사다.
구원에 관한 교훈 중, 알파 코스는 하나님께서 모든 사람을 사랑하신다고 가르치는 철저한 알미니안주의자이자 자유주의자이다. 알파 코스에 의하면 그리스도는 모든 이를 위해 돌아가셨으며, 믿음은 그리스도를 위한 인간의 결정이며 구원은 인간의 결정에 의해 좌우된다는 것이다.
그러므로 그들에게 있어서 죄는 하나님과 하나님의 율법을 범한 것이 아닌 단순히 “삶이 엉망진창 된 것”뿐이며, 불행과 다른 여러 가지 문제일 뿐인 것이다. 그러므로 죄는 범죄가 아니라 단순히 악한 결과일 뿐인 것이다.
하나님께서 오늘날에도 예언과 꿈과 환상과 다른 사람들을 통하여 말씀하신다고 가르침으로 성경의 권위와 충족성은 평가 절하되고 갈라디아서 5장에 게시된 성령의 열매가 아닌 육체적 흥분과 여러 현상들을 동반한 방언과 이적들만이 성령의 증거로 간주되는 것이다.
결국 알파 코스에 제시된 복음은 다른 복음이다. 그것은 하나님의 선물로서 예수 그리스도를 통하여 믿음과 하나님의 주권적 은혜로 말미암는 구원의 “복된 소식”이 아닌 것이다. 하나님께서 당신의 교회들을 이러한 교훈에서 지켜주시기를 기원한다.

맥카트니는 자서전에서 자신은 아일랜드계 천주교 가정에서 태어난 천주교도였다고 밝힘.
현재 PK운동의 회장직을 맡고 있는 Randy Phillips 역시 로마 카톨릭 신자로,
그는 평소 주장하기를 교리와 상관없이 종교가 하나 되기를 지향한다고 주장.
PK운동은 로마 카톨릭이 기독교를 파괴시키기 위해 만들어 침투시킨 운동.
Promise Keepers is the gigantic new (1991) "men's movement" among professing evangelical Christians. Its roots are Catholic and charismatic to the core. PK's contradictory stand on homosexuality; its promotion of secular psychology; its unscriptural feminizing of men; its depiction of Jesus as a "phallic messiah" tempted to perform homosexual acts; and its ecumenical and unbiblical teachings should dissuade any true Christian from participating. Promise Keepers is proving to be one of the most ungodly and misleading movements in the annals of Christian history.
Promise Keepers has taken pagan worship one step further. The first exposure of P.K. that I read documented that fact that the Promise Keepers distributed a book filled with sexual imagery of a very perverted sort. This article revolves around the pagan worship of the phallus (male reproductive organ). The story starts in July 1997 when the Supreme Council of the 33rd Degree of Freemasonry in it"s official publication called "The Scottish Rite Journal" made a call to raise funds to restore the Masonic obelisk in Washington D.C. and also placed it on the cover of the magazine. This vile structure has been worshipped by pagans for centuries and it represents the phallus which is also associated with sun and serpent worship. It was designed by Freemasons, named after a Freemason and the cornerstone laid in Masonic ritual. Therefore it is a sexual, pagan, satanic, Masonic idol that Christians should identify and avoid. But these facts have been ignored and Christians are being deceived about the nature of this idol.
PK(Promise Keepers)와 CCC-유행을 좇는 신학자들, 시대운동에 편승하는 목회자들, 눈앞에 보이는 가시적 현상에 도취되어 독(毒)을 품고서 사람을 죽이는 뿌리를 못보고 있다. PK에서는 진리보다 일치(Unity)가 더 중요하다. 자신을 'born again Catholic'이라고 말한 「빌 맥카트니」가 1996년 2월 13-15일 사이에 「아틀란타」 스타디움에 모였던 목회자/神父들에게 언급한 메시지-"목사들의 가슴을 넓게 열어 제쳐, 일인(1인)체제 리더쉽(「로마교황」을 의미)을 창출하자/tear the hearts of pastor wide so that a single leadership can be produced-"는 서기 2000년까지 모든 종교를 통합, 로마 교황청 밑에 두려는 「뉴에이지」플랜의 한 부분이다.
PK창설자 Bill McCartney는 '로마카톨릭' 교육을 받았으며,「미시간」주의 천주교 은사운동 출신으로서 'a lifelong active Catholic'이며, 천주교 「미사」 정기참여자이다. PK의 현 회장 Randy Phillips와 부회장 Paul Edwards도 천주교인이다. 이들은 로마교황청이 가르치는 '심중유보' 행위를 따라 기독교인들로 가장한 양(羊)의 탈을 쓴 이리들이다. '심중유보'(mental reservation)란 당신이 「로마」와 어떤 관계를 맺고 있음을 숨기기 위해 거짓말을 해도 된다는 로마카톨릭교회의 용서행위를 말한다.
천주교도들의 PK 참여를 계획했었다./ ... full Catholic partivipation was his intention from the start." 1997년 10월 4일에 수도 「워싱톤」에 있었던 PK집회를 앞두고 천주교은사운동의 가장 중요한 지도자인 Mike Timmis가 PK의 회장단(Board of directors)에 임명되었고, 천주교 부흥사 Jim Berlucchi가 PK의 Key Speaker로 발탁되었으며, 지난 6월에는 PK본부가 있는 「덴버」에서는 PK의 'Catholic Summit'가 개최되었다. PK에 참석하는 천주교도들은 모두 천주교회로 돌아가도록 종용하고 있는, 기독교회사 2000년 사에 가장 무서운 '죽이는' 이 운동을 '살리는'운동으로 착각하고 있는, "스스로 지혜있다고 하나 우둔하게 되어"(롬1.12) 어리석을 정도로 미련한, 허영에 들뜬 '소경' 지도자들은 천주교회가 가장 빈번하게 사용하는 전술-'Join to destory/agree to disagree'-에 기만당하고 있다.
PK의 Jack Hayford는 'Seven Promises'에서 「크리스천」 일치의 핵심을 '주(主)의 상'(the Lord's Table)에 있다고 말하면서, 미사(the Mass)와 주의 만찬(the Lord's Super)을 같은 것이라고 말하면서 완전히 혼돈하고 있다. 예수께서 십자가상에서"다 이루었다"고 하신 말씀을 부끄럽게 만드는 천주교의 미사(the Mass)교리에 무지, "마귀의 교리"를 좇고 있다.
「극동방송」초청으로 내한한 PK회장 「랜드 필립스」의 한국방문 (「빛과 소금」,1997년 12월호,56pp)을 계기로 PK의 한국상륙 유치를 위해 김장환 목사(「극동방송」사장),김준곤 목사(CCC 총재), 그리고 하용조 목사(온누리교회) 등, 20여명의 교계지도자들이 간담회를 가졌다(국민일보,. 1997년 11월 1일자). "신학적인 「테러」분자들"(theological terrorists)의 한국교회 침투를 쌍수들어 환영, 도입하려는 지도자들의 무지몽매(無知蒙昧)함과 영적 간음죄의 깊음으로 인하여, 한국교회와 민족과 국가가 당할 어려움은 가히 어느 누구도 측량할 수 없을 만큼 엄청나리라는 것에 대하여는 의심의 여지가 없다.
NAM과 NWO를 조종하는 「로욜라」의 두 도시 로마와 빠리. 하나님의 백성들을 죽이기 위한 ' 새로운 십자군 원정'이 빠리에서 발간되는 천주교의 원간지 Golias의 특집호(autumne 1991)에 실렸고, 이 원정은 미국으로 건너가 남성들만의 운동 즉 PK로 나타났다. PK가 가는 곳에는 늘 CCC가 따라 다닌다. ECT의 주창자 「빌 브라이트」선장이 배를 죽음의 항구로 몰고 있다고 알려주어도, 선원(간사)들은 사실을 사실대로 직시하려고 하질 않는다.
Promise Keepers 운동이 국내에 도입된 것은 미국에서 이 운동이 활발하게 추진되던 지난 97년 김장환 김의환 목사에 의해 소개돼 99년 한국 프라미스 키퍼스가 조직됐다.
프라미스 키퍼스 운동의 영향을 받아 온누리교회가 아버지 학교를 개설, 수많은 수료자를 배출했으며 명성교회, 할렐루야교회, 사랑의교회 등 많은 교회들이 다양한 프로그램을 통해 남자사역을 펼치고 있다.

- 개신교와 로마카톨릭과의 통합
1994년 3월 29일, 지난 500년간의 교회 역사상 가장 중대한 사건이 기정 사실로 드러났다. 바로 이 날, 미국의 저명한 복음주의자들과 카톨릭 교도들이 [복음주의자들과 카톨릭 교도들의 연합: 셋째 천년에서의 크리스천 선교](Evangelicals and Catholics Together: The Christian Mission in the 3rd Millenium., 이하 'ECT 문서')라는 제목의 공동 선언문에 조인을 했다. 사실상 이 문서는 루터의 종교개혁을 뒤엎어 버렸고, 의심의 여지없이 가까운 장래에 전 기독교계를 통해 중대한 영향을 미칠 것이다.
이같이 놀라운 일은 지난 2년간에 걸쳐 이루어진 치밀한 계획과 협상의 결과로 이루어졌다. 이 과정 속에서 바티칸은 항상 진행되는 일을 감시했고, 그 결과를 승인했다. 1994년 3월 30일, 미국 전역에 여러 신문들을 통해 보도된 [뉴욕 타임즈]지의 공개 기사 중 일부는 다음과 같다.
"그들은 낙태와 포르노그라피(음란성 제작물)에 대항하는 운동을 통해 함께 노력했으며, 이제 저명한 카톨릭 및 복음주의 지도자들은 자기들의 양떼들에게 놀라운 믿음의 도약, 즉 최종적으로 서로를 크리스천으로 받아들이는 것을 요구하고 있다. 소위 역사적 실언이라 불리는 성명서에서, 팻 로버트슨(Pat Robertson)과 찰스 콜슨(Charles Colson, 처음 이 작업을 시도한 사람들 중 하나임)은 오늘날 보수적인 로마 카톨릭 지도자들과 함께 미국에서 가장 크고 정치적으로 활동력이 강한 종교 그룹들을 묶어 주는 믿음의 줄을 강건히 하자는 데 동의했다. 또한 이들은 카톨릭 교도들과 복음주의자들에게 반대쪽의 양들을 적극적으로 개종시키는 일을 중지할 것을 촉구했다."
제네바 칼리지의 학장이며 미국 복음주의자 연합회의 회장을 지냈던 존 화이트(John White)는 이 선언문이 수세기에 걸친 미국내 종교계에서의 불신 끝에 이루어진 "승리의 순간"을 보여주는 것이라고 말했다. 이 선언문에 서명한 다른 복음주의자들 중에는 미국내 최대 프로테스탄트 교파인 남침례회의 가정 사역부와 크리스천 라이프 위원회를 맡고 있는 사람(이 사람은 개인적으로 했음), CCC의 창설자 빌 브라이트(Bill Bright), 위튼 대학의 마크 놀(Mark Knoll)..... 오스 기네스(Os Guinness), 하나님의 성회의 제씨 미란다(Jesse Miranda), 플러 신학교 학장인 리차드 모우(Richard Mouw), [하나님을 아는 지식]의 저자인 패커(J.I. Packer), 허버트 슐로쓰버그(Herbert Schlossberg) 등이 있다.
미국 복음주의 연합회의 남캘리포니아 의장인 로버트 시몬스(Robert Simonds)는 "이 선언에 대해 갈채를 보냈으며" 이번 사건이 "카톨릭 교도들과 복음주의자들 간의 협력 증진"을 가져오기를 희망한다고 말했다. 그후로 몇몇 복음주의 지도자들이 그 선언에 서명을 했고, 다른 이들은 이같은 시도가 루터의 "종교개혁"(Reformation)을 뒤엎는 것이라고 비난했다. 그런데 매우 아이러니컬하게도 "카톨릭 교도들과 복음주의자들을 연합"시키려는 이 담대한 시도는 그 어떤 사건이나 시도보다도 더 복음주의자들을 분열시킬 것이며, 바로 이것이야말로 이 문서의 서명자들이 예상했던 바이다.
25쪽 분량의 [ECT 문서]는, 어떤 타협의 여지없이, 카톨릭 교도들과 복음주의자들 사이에 밥티스마(침례)의 중요성 및 성경의 권위 등과 같은 몇몇 중대한 차이점들이 있음을 시인한다. 그러나 불행하게도 가장 중요한 차이점, 즉 크리스천이 된다는 것이 무엇을 의미하는가 하는 것은 전혀 언급되어 있지 않다. 사실상 이런 중대한 차이점이 존재한다는 사실조차도 부인되고 있다. 이처럼 복음을 타협하는 것이 이번에 이루어진 동의의 핵심부에 깔려 있는 것이다.
이번의 역사적 선언 뒤에 있는 중요한 요소는 저명한 복음주의자들이 예전에는 생각해 볼 수도 없었던 것, 즉 "활동적으로 카톨릭 교회에 참석하면 크리스천이 된다"는 생각을 인정했다는 점이다. 만일 이들의 주장이 참으로 옳다면, 종교개혁은 비극적인 실수인 것이다. 종교개혁 이전의 1000년 동안 그리고 그 이후로부터 지금까지 카톨릭 주의를 거짓 복음으로 폭로하고 그것을 거부했다는 이유로 순교 당한 헤아릴 수 없이 많은 순교자들은 헛되이 죽은 것이다. 그러나 만일 개혁자들이 옳았다면, 이번에 카톨릭 교도들과 복음주의자들 사이에 이루어진 새로운 연합은 전체 교회 역사 속에서 복음에 가장 치명적 상처를 입히는 가장 교묘한 사건이 될 것이다. 어찌되든지, 이같은 시도로 인한 결과들은 엄청난 것이다. 이번의 연합 선언을 찬양하면서, 저명한 복음주의 지도자는 다음과 같이 선언했다.
"이 문서는 지난 몇십 년간에 걸쳐 진행되어 온 모든 종교 통합 논의들을 변경시킬 가능성을 내포하고 있다.....이것은 새날을 의미하며, 사실 문화적 사역과 근본적 신학 사역에서, 로마 카톨릭 교도들은 복음주의자들만큼이나 우리에게 가장 친한 친구이다.". Moody, 1994년 5월호, p.62
한때 카톨릭과 프로테스탄트 사이의 신학적 차이점들은 너무나 큰 것으로 여겨졌고, 심지어 수백만 명의 사람들이 그런 차이점들에 대해 타협하기보다는 순교하는 길을 택했고, 그들을 죽인 카톨릭 교도들 역시 이같은 차이점들의 중요성에 대해 똑같이 확신하고 있었다. 그런데 이런 차이점들이 언제, 어떻게 해소되었단 말인가? 도대체 무슨 이유로 복음주의 지도자들이 카톨릭 주의의 복음이 이제는 성경적이라고 선포하게 되었는가? 카톨릭의 복음은 개혁자들이 이단이라고 규정했던 것이 아닌가? 또한 그 복음은 지금까지 전혀 변하지 않았다. 카톨릭과 프로테스탄트 사이의 해결될 수 없는 큰 차이점이 사회적 그리고 정치적 행동을 위해 그리고 보수주의자들 사이의 큰 연합을 이루기 위해 희석되어 버렸단 말인가?
복음주의자들은 프로테스탄트 교회에 열심히 참석하는 사람은 누구나 크리스천이라는 주장을 비난할 것이다. 그렇다면 어떻게 복음주의 지도자들이 열심히 카톨릭 교회에 다니는 천주교인들은 모두 크리스천이며 따라서 복음을 전할 필요가 없다는 주장에 동의할 수 있단 말인가? [ECT 문서]는 카톨릭 교도들과 복음주의자들이 모두 사도신경을 인정한다고 설명한다. "그리스도께서 본디오 빌라도 밑에서 고난을 당하고, 십자가에 못 박혀 죽으시고, 장사되었다가....." 그러나 사람이 만든 이 신조는 니케아 신조나 다른 신조와 마찬가지로 우리를 구원하는 복음, 즉 "그리스도께서 우리의 죄들을 위해 죽으셨다"(고전 15:1-4, 롬1:16)는 분명한 이유를 전혀 보여 주지 않는다. 또한 몰몬 교도들도 사도신경을 인정한다. 그러나 그들은 성경적 크리스천들이 아니다. 마찬가지로 사도신경을 외우는 것이 카톨릭 교도를(혹은 프로테스탄트를) 크리스천으로 만드는 것이 아니다. 더욱이 카톨릭 교도들이 그리스도께서 자신들의 죄를 위해 죽었다는 구절을 이해하는 것은 복음주의자들의 이해하는 바와는 너무나 다르다..
